matariki day

Yesterday, we celebrated matariki day we got to make fried bread most of my classmates chose butter, jam or golden syrup but I chose jam, butter and golden syrup and trust me on this one it was HEAVEN.

We also made a ginormous  kite and it had a lot of the normal matariki patterns like swirls and waves.

We also got to make stop motion out of playdoh and then we made the audio that part was pretty hard because we were outside and it was very very windy.

now I am going to teach you how to make fried bread so you can eat it and taste a bit of heaven.

 1. You need a bowl, a wooden spoon and a plastic pad.

 2. You add 3 and a half cups of flour.

3. You add about 3 cups of water into the bowl and stir it.

4. Stir until soft the push onto the plastic pad.

5.  fold the dough and the flatten it a few times.

6. After you fold the dough you get an electric frying pan and fill it with oil half way.

7. Then when the pan has heated up you cut your dough into 6 pieces and SLOWLY put it in or you will burn yourself (like I did).

8. After about 4 minutes take them out.

9. Cut them in half.

10. Fill them with butter, jam and golden syrup and there is you heaven. blog you later. ka pai!!!
